Language and Style: The Bible

Posted 27 Mar 2011 at 17:54 PM by spanner

If you are in realitive good health, have good or moderate income, have pretty secure and mental state of being, then the following may not be palatable to your taste, however, it is mostly to you it is needful.

Style and direction have been two of the most unfriendly sort that I have had to embrace and encounter, for they have aligned themselves against me, nevertheless, I aim to call them my friends if the day shall but allow it. My goal, I think, is simple, but then again, is it not the reader who shall determine the aim of the arrow or the intent of the writer? Therefore, I shall not bog you down or out with such trivial matter or at least I shall enlist that endeavor to have done so. Language is very important, both to the speaker and to the hearer, and if you are so inclined to set your mind to such, God is meticulous in His usage of words and His placement within His Word, that usage is important if you are to grasp what it is He is trying to bring to your mind and understanding. Language is a hard concept to hold much less to give, kingdoms rise and fall by language, consider the recent rise of the word 'freedom' which is echoing itself throughout the world with little comprehension as to what the word means much less what the intent of the speaker wants it to mean, for that has yet to be delivered unto the masses of people that are marching and dying in the streets to attain freedom. Freedom, to one person, is 'no' government interference into their daily choices concerning their properties and activities, however, does the government not operate on the collection of taxes of that same property, and do they not guarantee the same freedom to your neighbor as unto yourself, therefore, freedom at best, means, 'limited freedom', if not, the murderer, or the evolutionists cry, of the 'strong shall survive by elimination' rings forth, and perhaps, that is what is meant after all, as the squeaky wheel or the loudest voice does get the time of the press and governments now, but that may cease under 'freedom', only time will tell. Are kingdoms not falling today by language (freedom) and are not new types of kingdoms taking their place as we speak, it is therefore that I want to impress upon the reader that language is 'extremely' important. Language cannot be established where there is no basic guidelines or 'key' set forth to understanding what is being stated or communicated. Consider this, in the old testament the 'law' was given to be a guide not only to language but also to behavior, for what good is law if there is not behavior to follow, for then would we back to 'freedom' without any guidelines, and that could be the embrace of the 'freedom' pushers if you consider the verse, "Why do the heathen rage" for did not Israel desire to have a 'king' even though all 'her' enemies were destroyed before them by God Himself, but people do want 'change' don't they, and they seem to care not what kind of change it becomes? In the above sentence, I used the term 'her' when I was speaking of Israel, why would I, or better, why would the Bible do such? Was not Israel called to be the wife of God, and for that matter, is not the church called the 'bride' of Christ to which the Father has espoused her to become? It is, of course, to those that understand relationship, that there is none closer to observe on earth than that of the husband and wife, and to this end is why, God says He hates divorce, not that He abhors or hates those who have become divorced, or in the stage of such, but that is the relationship God uses to allow us to know how close we are to Him. In a society (much like that of others), where relationships are being redefined, God is not, and that is what He is and has been trying to convey to His children, that although they may change, He does not change, He is a husband that stays the same, and when you grow weary of all your 'change' that you have embraced, you may return not only to your husband, but to the God of your fathers and their fathers, this is why He cries out to Israel all the day long, am I not the God "of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob"? Did you notice, He, that is, God, did not start with Adam nor with Noah, but He began with Abraham, why would God begin with Abraham? Was not the promise given to Abraham of a 'seed' to set up on the throne of David the King, but were these the 'only' to be saved or become the bride of the great God? No, for the scripture has concluded that Noah was found 'righteous' and did not the same state, "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him" so we must not try to limit God, but examine His Word more closer for His understanding to become ours. In recent years (not unlike those of other years) man has made attempts, not to understand the Word of God, but to make the Word of God more understandable to other men/women, is there any difference? In every way, note what Christ stated to His disciples concerning the world, "He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given", so the question then might well be, Why are we busy trying to explain to the world the very thing they cannot understand or attain unto? Why would God do this, that is why would God keep from the world His Truth, does He not want them to know? Yes, in every way, for the scripture also stated that God sent forth His Son that the world through Him might be saved, but the world, that is the spirit of the world which is kept at this present hour by the serpent seeks to keep the eyes of man/woman blinded by the things of the world, money, fame, presitage and desire, these things must first have been taken away for the world to comprehend the love of the Father, and that my friend, is the purpose of the Tribulation Period which we all dread, but must needs come to pass to salvage them. To the world it is stated, "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful", what have we as the church accomplished in this latter end, to our own shame and dishonor? Have we not, by trying to reach the world, made them twofold the child of hell than ourselves, consider the great confusion over which is the Word of God, that is, which Bible is being 'preached' from the pulpit and which Bible is being held in the hands of the laity, has the world become any the wiser by our laying aside of the archaic KJV and embracing all the newer trends flooding the market, is not the aim of the world still coming to pass under the gathering umbrella called (for now) the European Union and the New World Order, and is this not being pushed from those of the 'Christianize d' nations, those which have existed over the past 1600 years or so under that same banner? Has the world changed their goal or has the Christian church changed her ways to conform unto that of the world, and just how are we different from Israel? We declare 'worship' as some form of songs given through the choir, but this is not what the Bible calls 'worship' this is what is known as praise, but we have done to worship/praise, the same as we have accomplished with the words 'saved/delivered, and faith/belief' concluded them both the same in meanings in direct contradiction to the word of God and embraced the meanings of the world or that old sneaky snake the serpent, we have learned little to nothing from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, although we conclude ourselves most wise, and why not, are we not become our own critics, the Bible calls it pride and lofty, but boy are we smart or what? You've come along way baby, used to be the cry, but that I think, was from a cigarette company, and what have you done to the world of freedom? You have turned it into political correction, O but wait, you did that also to God's Word, so why are we so surprised and offended, don't smile yet, those things you hold to be politically and correctly phrased and worded in the next generation may be called hate speech and you just may be 'beheaded' for your atrocity. Consider the word written in none other place than that of the Tribulation Period, "And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years - He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints" or the words of Peter (which is the Word of God) "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage"! Now you may say like that of the proverbial redneck, 'That's a fer off n'taint gonna happen to us'n's' now, I can say this with great humility for I are the rednecker so ease up, but does it hold truth? Consider, we have crossed oceans and poured into universities under the NWO/EU that 'freedom' can be attained by any and all peoples, but what do the people(s) see in the teachers - computers, good paying jobs, plenty to eat/drink etc.., in other words, all those things which are found in the Christianize d world or nations they now desire to have and hold, but are there enough jobs, money, homes, computers, etc.., is this the case? Before you say, 'No way' what if (and don't we hate the what if's in life) we are made to 'condition'ed freedom', in other words, you can have and hold 'if'', and that 'if'' is so unfriendly. Christ stated, "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more" and if they use not that which has been given them, Christ replies, "For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath", this was not stated in vain, for the church, being in a fallen state, has incorporated the words of those who state buy bigger and better and kick out the old for the new, but in the end it is they who shall be removed, for the scripture says not in vain, seek the old path and the old way, in other words, remember from whence thou art fallen, and do the first works anew lest He come and remove thy candlestick. "Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit", ask yourself, how does one 'trust in oppression' and yet is this not what has been accomplished among the poor of the land today, that the rich have laid upon them through food stamps, welfare, free programs, to which all must pay for in some form, is this not the 'pressing down' and the holding back of a people and do they not love to have it so, and why, because they have endorsed unto themselves a perverseness which has also been found among the Sodomites of older times before.

OPPRESSION OF THE OPPRESSED

"Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted - Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God - Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts - Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD". From the leaders unto the led, all have used oppression against the weak, widow, and in-firmed, for their own gain, truly this is a time like that of the Darwinian epilogue, strong devouring the weaker. A search is made by the LORD to find a 'man' among them to stand in the breach to offer up to God a hedge against such oppression and misery, but there is none, and those of understanding know the reason for such a lack thereof, as both the system of Law and the system of Grace have been killed upon the streets of Jerusalem and now have ascended back unto the Father in a cloud, leaving the only system available as that of Wrath.
