The Empire State Building's observation deck located on the 102 floor has an elevation of 1250 above ground level. The elevation of the base of the ESB is 40 feet above mean sea level. This places the ESB observation deck at 1290 feet above mean sea level.

The original World Trade Center had a roof top observation deck at an elevation of 1362 feet above the ground. The base of the Twin Towers had an elevation of 10 feet above mean sea level. This places the Twin Tower's observation deck elevation at 1372 above mean sea level.

The Empire State Building's observation deck is lower than the Twin Towers observation deck by 82 feet after terrain elevation change is factored in. The photo center of the first image is well below the observation deck of the Empire State Building as we do not look down upon the surface area of the observation deck. image2.JPG (Photo is a crop of original and shows approx location of photo center).

In the same image that shows the Empire State Building, we can see the Twin Towers. If we crop the Twin Towers and zoom in, you are able to view the surface area of the Twin Towers observation deck.image4.JPG.

This image appeared on all major media outlets televised coverage in the form of live video coverage. image1.JPG (example)

You can NOT be below an object and look down upon the top of that object even after the height of that object was corrected for elevation change.

The image clearly shows surface area of the observation deck of the Twin Towers yet we can't see building 7's roof.
