Re: Take the WTC "Where's the Concrete?" Challenge Thread...
The following photo's were taken supposedly on the 91st floor. Obviously it was either prior to or after the LMCC 'donated' this floor to various 'art students' to ply their wares.
There seems to be concrete but I do not know the thickness of it. Also look at the 'storeroom' - does the side wall go all the way to the window and if so was it for extra shelving or an excuse to remove windows??? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards Clive Thanx to blandscape for these photos. Re: Take the WTC "Where's the Concrete?" Challenge Thread...
good find Clive. I followed your directions. I clicked oon the title of the photo and was taken to the flicker site:
and there are MORE photos on that site ![]() ![]() there are a lot of things wrong with this photo. There is a lot of questions regarding this photo. Keep in mind this is purportedly the same floor as Gelatin B was in and George Sleigh worked on The photographer claims this photo was taken in March, 2001--perhaps the guys here can exif data that. the furniture seems new. There are even keys taped onto the two drawer beigh file cabinet (third cubicle down) One might think that a business could move the furniture from one place to another and save a lot of money rather than having to rebuy it everything else has been trashed. Papers everywhere, plants knocked over, the floor sunken in in the center of the aisle, floorboards ripped up, popcorns or some maybe silica stuff throw all over the desks and floor, boxes everywhere that appear to have enclosed brand new products a little string that winds up from the left hand corner and on down through the center aisle that goes right through a light brown round thing an old broom in an office life that was supposed to have been? computer equipment that looks like a sledgehammer went at it--no computer equipment was left intact, these guys should have lost their damage deposit but it looks staged __________________

Re: Take the WTC "Where's the Concrete?" Challenge Thread...
This is what I am speaking of. No matter where along in the construction, we never see floor pans with concrete in them nor do we see any of the 4 cranes with concrete pour buckets as we do at the new WTC now being built; Watch the flash presentation here for the new WTC building, and notice the concrete pour bucket they are using; ![]() ![]() Notice the concrete pour bucket at the new Freedom Tower WTC above: Not one of these pictures of a concrete pour bucket can be found from the old world trade center while being built. Not one! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This picture here below is for future reference; Notice how the total catastrophic failure ended at the Roman style beams, 6 floors above ground level? __________________

Re: Take the WTC "Where's the Concrete?" Challenge Thread...
I see in this picture ,,,, where the tiles have been removed (very bottom),,from a FINISHED floor,,,and the upper is a RAISED sub-floor system,,for which all walls,,and doors have to be special sized to accommodate the actual ceiling to floor height.
These raised floor office systems are used when there is a large amount of computer cabling,,,,,and are very expensive! The raised floor system here consists of the risers,,floor trusses,,slot lock floor grids,,and carpet overlay squares. (Note some ground strap anchors glued down to floor) ![]() http://farm1.static.flickr.com/131/3...c9fc79f6_b.jpg It would be nice to know the floor number this was installed on. |

Re: Take the WTC "Where's the Concrete?" Challenge Thread...
yup, 91st floor. maybe (according to someone viewing the pics w/me)
tile in between steel squares welded together or blasted together flat bar going in between the cement squares a thought this person had: the lower floors built w/ lot of solid cement flooring. the upper floors with not as much...perhaps not as much around the edges and the poured cement or squares would be closer to the center of the buildings to help them be able to sway also the contractor could have saved $$ that way which would mean no businesses around the upper floor window areas ?????? __________________
