Why are all the Lights off throughout the WTC on 9/11?

Check the tower, there are a "few lights" on exactly 12 floors under the jumper. Check for the 5 lights on. And in the 2nd picture, there is a "few lights" on 9 stories above the jumper. (This is the same lights though, but the jumper is now below them) In the negatives, the lights on show up a small blue blocks. Other then this, all lights seem to be, well, by and large, absent. And make no mistake, the Towers are dark. Hardly any lights on anywhere. Why?

Very nice find! 34,000 out of 35,000 people working in the dark, to save the planet, years before the global warming scam.

Do you think it would be possible for someone to compile pictures of the towers between say 1999 and 2001, and document the dimming of the WTC?

This would be one way to get an idea of the time frame used to phase them out.

Why are there only 7 lights on on this entire face of the world trade center? Was everybody working in the dark? Why are only 7 lights on? The entire building should be lit up at this time of day! Like it is in the top, first picture below.

Maybe it's the angle the picture is taken but I sure don't see a lot of lights on in those windows. Very odd.

I wonder if William Rodriguez would know the occupancy rates on 9/11. He might also be able to shed some light on whether the building was gutted in the months/years prior.

No lights on, except for those 5-7 lights. That's it for the entire face of this tower. Thanks for the picture with a filter Jon. It helps drive home the obvious, yet another thing we have all missed. NO LIGHTS ON! HOLY COW! NO LIGHTS ON! WTF?

The entire tower is completely dark on this face, except for those 7 lights.

There should be thousands of lights on. But there isn't.

Why?

I am trying to find as many pre-911 pictures of the WTC as possible to see if anything odd comes up or if there are any irregularities; In these pictures below, its looks unnatural, the lighting at the WTC. It just looks wrong. Can't put my finger on it. Whats your thoughts? This is 4 days before 911.

The dusk photo shows the tower on the right to be almost completely dark.

The lights that are visible on the left tower appear to be multiple floors together with no separation between them, unlike the other earlier photos where separation of floors is evident.

Could just be the fuzzy photo on that, but the right tower is definitely dark.

Can anyone here find one single photograph of the world trade center that shows it is all lit up and has lights on? Like this pre-911 picture? I'll give a free 911 Mysteries DVD to the first person that shows me pictures of the world trade center all lit up with lights, like every other normal business day at the WTC, on 911. Why does every single picture show dark towers with no lights on? Why? Did they work in the dark as part of a green energy bond trading plan?

I challenge people here to find any photographs of the world trade center all lit up with lights. I have looked through hundreds of pictures from 911 and not one single photograph shows that the lights were on. Not one! The most lights I have found on in the WTC is here below; 7 lights on. 5 on what appears to be 41 and then 2 lights on 7 floors below it.

Why are the WTC towers dark? Why does every picture show them without lights?

Just a thought, its likely that they went to emergency lighting, if there were explosions in the basement as reported then the power to some or all of the building would be out. In my experience emergency lighting tends to be less powerful and not every light, so I wonder if this would mean that it wouldn't appear all lit up as usual?

All reports were that the lights "flickered" when the second plane hit, but came back on.

I've never seen any claim that the lights were shut off.
